The 101st annual meeting of the Slooper Society of America will be held on Sunday, October 11th, 2026 beginning at Noon at the Norway Community Building in Norway, IL.
Schedule of events:
12:00pm Sign-in and Slooper book sales
12:30pm Slooper business meeting
1:00pm A Taste of Norway Slooper luncheon featuring a wide variety of traditional Norwegian foods.
2:00pm Film: “Restauration; In the Wake of the Emigrants”. This award-winning documentary follows Restauration’s historic Atlantic crossing in 2025. Join this unique voyage on board the ship—from Norway via England and Madeira, across the Atlantic to New York. Watch the trailer
The Norsk Museum will be open immediately following the presentation
